The other day I attempted to order delivery twice from this place, waiting almost 2 hours for my food and my order was cancelled. So I called and asked why that was happening and the woman was totally rude and said “I don’t know I just got in.” I’ve never had a chance to try this sandwich shop and now I don’t think I ever will.
The sandwiches are so tasty and at a reasonable price.
This is the spot for a sandwich! The employees are very friendly, the place is very clean and the food is top notch! Sara will make you leave with a huge smile and a full tummy, thank you very much!!
The best Cuban sandwich in the world is made at this place!!
Delicious sandwich but a rip off for gluten free people. Even though getting a gluten free sandwich costs more, you only get half as much food. Some places make up for this by giving customers two mini sandwiches to make up for the size differential. At Yampa, gluten free means you pay extra for a half portion.
Sold. Breakfast all day. Take my money. And it was delish. Pastrami? Amazing! I would give more than 5 stars if I could.
Delicious. Healthy bistro with many options for sandwiches, I love subs/large sandwiches and this place hit the spot with delicious gluten free options and fresh ingredients.
Great sandwich restraunt! Would definitely suggest getting one of their toasted sandwiches. Their sandwiches have such rich tastes, and will leave you very satisfied.
Sandwiches are really good. If you go in person opt for toasted bread but doordash if you're not super close just get regular and you'll have a stellar sandwich. Learned chicken sausage is pretty good thanks to these guys.
Now back for a better review.First: The Ridgeline is a great sandwich. Top notch, a real sandwich! Pack one for the golf course. Second:Breakfast named The Ranchero. A tasty breakfast sandwich that got me through to a late lunch. Third (Most anticipated) Third:The Ba Mi. This is ridiculous...
Yampa Sandwich Company is awesome. The food is always delicious and the staff is fantastic. I order from them quite often for work functions and lunch meetings because I know I can rely on them to do a quality job and deliver on time. They are consistent and reliable and I really appreciate that. The staff is super nice and professional and they make the whole process very easy. I can't recommend them enough. P.S. They also have really good cookies :)
Great sandwiches and excellent staff.
It was a good sandwich, not memorable though. All ingredients were fresh, it was just lacking in flavor. I do like that the table tops are maps of Colorado. We got the turkey with oven roasted tomatoes and a Cuban.
Been going since 2k15 when it was backwood delicatessen. 🔥
Sandwiches are pretty good, but overpriced -- ends up costing $12 for just the sandwich. Also even when there is no one ahead of you in line it takes about 15 minutes to make a turkey sandwich. If there is a line you'll be there at least 20 minutes before getting the food. I'd give it a solid three stars.
The cuban sandwich at Yampa is a killer move for lunch. It's the perfect size and has an appropriate amount of spice that gives it the kick that a cuban sandwich deserves. Their website is well made and I've never had a problem with it before. There are almost too many customizable options however that's not necessarily a bad thing. The cuban doesn't travel all that well however many of their other sandwiches travel great. When you select to get pickles they're not always consistent on whether or not they'll fulfill this end of the order.
Best sandwich company in all of downtown! Salad combination is also delectable. Staff is very friendly!
Catering Services A++++I'm in charge of an incredibly difficult task of order food for firm meetings which means 1) finding a place close to work (other than bagels, muffins or donuts) 2) delivery early and 3) ordering in advance (preferably online). Not only does Yampa meet all three requirements, but the food was exceptional, delicious and so fresh, service on-point! You must try Yampa out for your catering needs. Side note: we always have left overs, everyone loved the breakfast sandwiches so much that seconds and thirds were had by many. Thanks Megan S, you and your staff did a great job!
$30 for two sandwiches? $4 sodas? Don't do the "build your own". Gets pricey fast. I don't consider $15 for a sandwich and drink to be "$" vs. "$$$"? They ARE good sandwiches and the kitchen staff is fast. Medium sized. Must be huge overhead for the place. Great atmosphere and the tables are always clean.
Great sandwich and friendly helpful service! Good place to check out if your visiting.
I've been going here for years. It's a great spot and offers an awesome variety of sandwiches and salads. The staff is awesome and are always friendly. It's a pretty busy place and can sometimes be a long wait during the lunch rush, but this is to be expected in downtown Denver. I would highly recommend this place if you dig sandwiches.
They serve breakfast sandwiches all day which is basically heaven. And everyone who works there is insanely nice.
Excellent Reuben. Quaint. Not too loud, you can have a conversation or just sit and enjoy the peace.
Good sandwiches downtown, they used to be call Backcountry Deli.
Amazing food and even better service! Yampa is the best!
Love that they’re open for take out again! Best sandwich place in LoDo.
Excellent gourmet lunch options; sandwiches made to order with fresh ingredients and delicious combinations, and a great value for the price! Definitely a must-try while in Denver.
First, for those that don't know...Tampa is still the same as Backcountry delicatessen, just a good name change. Second, Matt is the freaking man. He helped me venture into a new sandwich (called the special Italian) choice from my normal Reuben that I get. Third he was so polite to my family who came to visit out if town and they were all super impressed by the sandwiches that we ate!
I've been going here on almost a weekly basis for around 4 years and every time besides twice it's been perfect. Not too shabby for 4 years. Great sandwiches and friendly employees.
Yampa is my “go to” lunch spot. Great sandwiches, always fresh, and the staff, going at break neck speed, seems perpetually upbeat. Awesome food and a motivated team, that does it for me.
Very nice
Love Yampa! Great quality and fast delivery! One of the best sandwich spots in Denver hands down.
The best service possible, a great, creative, fresh sandwich, and the comforts of indoor or outdoor seating made my visit outstanding.
Pretty sure this was the Backcountry Delicatessen when I visited a couple weeks ago. Seemed a little pricey for the size of sandwich, but it was a pretty good one. Had the Godfather which has mortadella, capocollo and provolone and I believe I added salami as well to make it an Italian meat trio. Seems odd that it doesn't already include it. The thing I really like is that they use a red wine vinaigrette which makes it a proper Italian sandwich not mayo or some gross flavored aioli. Well done on that! Didn't realize there is one of these here in Fort Collins. I'll have to check it out. The other sandwiches look pretty good too.
This is my favorite deli! I love it so much! The staff is friendly attentive and always happy to see you. They are one of the main reasons I choose this shop. There is a patio that gets plenty of sun. And $5 breakfast sandwiches all day long. Love you guys!
Cute little place with indoor and outdoor seating. The line was a little long at noon for lunch, but I still got my food quickly. All the sandwiches come with a free pickle if you'd like.
Food is good, but the value just isn't there. Consistently, I find the sandwiches pretty lacking for the price; at a few dollars cheaper, it would be a decent value, but when you get more sandwich with similar ingredients and taste for 2/3 the price at potbelly, it's just not compelling.Edit to respond to response:Ok, I could email you, but what would I say? Your menu is too expensive across the board for the size of the sandwiches? And then what are you going to say to that? Here's a lifetime of coupons, we really value your business? There's nothing to resolve, I think the value isn't there, and it's your business to run as you wish, I can respect that. The crux of this is that it wasn't a one time thing, it's every time I go there. I thought the breakfast sandwich was a joke at first, it was so small. So, it's not as if this is a one time thing, so it's not a problem with the experience.
I can't recommend them enough! I love pretty much everything on the menu and find myself craving the Fourteener and the Panzanella salad. It was the first place I took myself to lunch, after beginning my new job...I was delighted to find a location close to my new office! If you are planning to have lunch, consider ordering ahead of time, as it gets VERY busy.
The Cuban was delicious. Can't wait to go back and try more.
Great sandwiches! Thanks!
Good sandwich, quick service 👌🏼
This deli knows what it’s doing. Really fresh sandwich and soup! The lunch deal can’t be beat. Far better than any chain deli downtown can offer.
Clean place with food and good service.
The sandwiches are pretty good here just too small for what you pay for. Wish they were bigger.
I work right around the corner and I go here probably 2 times a week. Super consistent and amazing sandwiches and wraps. The salads are a great portion size and their homemade soups rotate to keep me guessing. Love this place
Ordered 3 sandwiches two of them were the country road and one was pastrami and a salad totaling almost $60 dollars. All three sandwiches had bread so hard that we couldn’t even bite into it. I felt like i was going to break a tooth. For the cost of these sandwiches i am very disappointed. A sandwich should have bread that is edible. Not sure why they would serve bread this hard, i didn’t want a crouton sandwich. Would not recommend this place. I feel like we got extremely ripped off.
Food is great and staff is super friendly and helpful even when it’s busy. That being said you don’t get much bang for your buck. I would come back as long as I have the money to spare.
They have some pretty decent sandwiches, and they even let you make your own custom sandwich. It seemed a little pricey for what you get, so I personally would like to explore other places before coming back here. Don't get me wrong, though, their food is good.
Delicious chicken curry sandwich!! Cool, relaxed atmosphere. Haven't been to many places in downtown Denver, but I'd come back.
I was not impressed by the food. The establishment was nice, but the food was bland and boring. The capicola tasted like Oscar Meyer lunch ham and the vegetables resembled tasteless morsels of mush.
